Macaris Apartments and Spa comprises 39 luxurious apartments located just 50 metres from the beach in the centre of Rethymno.

LOCATION & Area

Rethymnon town centre is located about 800m from the complex. On the way, one can admire the unique Venetian harbour with a lighthouse.

Apartments are about 50 m from the beach. It is only a 10-minute walk to the old town of Rethymnon.

There are two large supermarkets nearby, 300 m to the east you will find Carfour Marinopolos and 500 m to the west supermarket Lidl.

In the surrounding area, there are some of the best restaurants in Rethymnon with international and traditional Cretan cuisine.

The hospital is located about 500m away.

Pharmacies are 300m away.

The police station is about 500m away.

The university of Crete is located about 2 km southwest of the complex. It has the newest and largest library in Greece, and it is open to the public. There are about 7,000 students in Rethymnon

Approx. 400 m away is stadium Sohora with the municipal soccer field (artificial turf) and running track.

The municipal swimming pool is located about 300m from away.

In Gallou, 2 km south lays new and modern sports facility with a large football field (grass), running tracks, 5X5 football field, and a large indoor hall for basketball, volleyball and handball. 2 outdoor tennis courts.

The bus terminal that connects Rethymnon with the rest of the island is located approximately 300m away.
