GAVALOHORI is a year-round village offering a few tavernas, coffee shops and well stocked super/mini markets & bakery as well as a museum and a women’s co-op where one can buy beautiful, hand-crafted & crocheted tablecloths & woven bedspreads, hand-embroidered sheets & towels, etc. Buses to Chania city and neighbouring & sea-side villages leave regularly from the Town square. The seaside village of Almirida with its white sandy beaches is 5 minutes’ drive.

KALIVES seaside village less than 8 minutes’ drive away.
