Part of a beautiful new project that is built on an amphitheatrical plot at the outskirts of the village of Kalyves, this single floor, 103,72 sq m semi-detached residence offers unrestricted views of the seaside that lies almost at arm’s reach from the complex.
Designed for the communal rooms to enjoy most of the outdoor scenery, the area of the living and dining room sit under a tiled pitched roof that is completely covered in glass at its north side. This will provide all the needed natural light to the interiors, where one will sit protected by weather elements and peacefully enjoy the everchanging sea and sky patterns. The living room will be first in line, behind the massive sliding double-glazed glass doors that will offer immediate access to the swimming pool in front of the house. Right behind the living room, the dining room of the house in an open plan space with both the living room and the kitchen further behind it. Vertically oriented compared to the pool the open plan space is cut in half by the horizontally oriented part of the house that is occupied by the two bedrooms of the house. At the southeast side of the floor the bathroom of the house and further back a much-needed storage room cover the rest of the built surface.

Kalives is a coastal settlement on the south coast of the outer bay of Souda, which was originally built on the banks of river Xidas, but has expanded westwards over the last few decades until the river Koiliaris.
At the eastern end of the settlement, north of Castel Apicorno, there is a small port that serves both fishing and tourist needs, while west of it extends the coastal front, dotted with beaches and taverns up to Kiani Akti. In the main square of Kalives, near the church of Agia Paraskevi, visitors can see an old watermill that has been depicted in several Venetian maps and was used for grinding grain until the beginning of the 20th century
During the last decades of the 20th century, Kalives started developing as a tourist destination, benefiting from the beautiful, large beaches situated nearby, as well as its proximity to the “national road”.
